      <title>Our Lab Showcases Robotics Research to Summer Camp Visitors</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;We welcomed PhD summer camp visitors and showcased our bio-inspired robotics research.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As part of the annual Systems Hub PhD Summer Camp, our lab had the pleasure of welcoming prospective doctoral students on July 11. As a key stop on their tour of the Institute for Integrated Service Robots (IISR), the students got a firsthand look at our cutting-edge research.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We introduced our work in bio-inspired and intelligent robotics, followed by exciting live demonstrations of our snake robot and in-pipe robot. The demonstrations sparked great interest and a lively discussion, with students eagerly asking questions about the technology and its real-world applications.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Our group presented a new type of InPipe Robot research at the annual tech innovation event&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;On June 15, 2025, our research group, led by Professor MA, participated in the INNOTECH 2025 event at HKUST(GZ) in Nansha, Guangzhou. Our team showcased Snake-like Robot and InPipe Robot in this activity, drawing attention from industry experts and fellow researchers. The InPipe Robot was independently developed by our research group and can move freely inside pipes with a diameter of 100mm.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The presentation attracted interest from several industry partners, leading to discussions about potential collaborations. Participating in INNOTECH 2025 provided a valuable opportunity for our students to share their work with a broader audience and gain insights from leaders in the tech innovation space.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Following the lab tour, Professor Ma conducted a two-hour interactive lecture, combining engaging demonstrations with in-depth discussions. Through lively Q&amp;amp;A exchanges, participants explored how robotics could drive innovation in various sectors.&lt;/p&gt;

      <description>&lt;p&gt;A delegation from the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) and corporate representatives visited our laboratory to explore new chapters of collaboration on pipeline robot development.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;On March 21, 2025, the delegation, including officials from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region&amp;rsquo;s HKPC and representatives from relevant investment and corporate sectors, engaged in an in-depth exchange with our team. The discussion centered on pipeline robot research and development cooperation, with both parties exchanging detailed views on technical approaches, application prospects, and implementation paths, and reaching several consensuses.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The delegation first visited the IISR laboratory and observed the current research and development results of pipeline robots. Our technical staff gave a detailed introduction to the future application potential of robots in urban pipelines and other scenarios, as well as the phased technical breakthroughs of the project. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on the future development direction of pipeline robots. The HKPC proposed some customized function suggestions, and our team shared innovative ideas for new pipeline robots. The meeting clarified the short-term technical research and development goals and the long-term industrialization promotion path, and preliminarily formulated a cooperation framework for jointly applying for relevant special plans.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

Professor Ma Shugen, as the chairman of the conference, announced that RTSS 2024 was successfully held. During the conference, more than 10 top robotics experts and scholars in the industry gave wonderful keynote reports and guest speeches, covering various cutting-edge fields of robotics technology.
