Hong Kong Delegation and Corporate Representatives Visit Our Laboratory to Explore Collaboration

A delegation from the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) and corporate representatives visited our laboratory to explore new chapters of collaboration on pipeline robot development.

On March 21, 2025, the delegation, including officials from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s HKPC and representatives from relevant investment and corporate sectors, engaged in an in-depth exchange with our team. The discussion centered on pipeline robot research and development cooperation, with both parties exchanging detailed views on technical approaches, application prospects, and implementation paths, and reaching several consensuses.

The delegation first visited the IISR laboratory and observed the current research and development results of pipeline robots. Our technical staff gave a detailed introduction to the future application potential of robots in urban pipelines and other scenarios, as well as the phased technical breakthroughs of the project. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on the future development direction of pipeline robots. The HKPC proposed some customized function suggestions, and our team shared innovative ideas for new pipeline robots. The meeting clarified the short-term technical research and development goals and the long-term industrialization promotion path, and preliminarily formulated a cooperation framework for jointly applying for relevant special plans.
